NOAA's final record runs through Jul 31, 2026; preliminary reports through Oct 27, 2026.

We want every number here to match its source. Here is where to send a correction.

  • A hail report (its date, size or location): NOAA's Storm Events Database is the source, compiled from National Weather Service Storm Data; later reports are the National Weather Service's preliminary Local Storm Reports. We check NOAA's files every day, so a report NOAA corrects is corrected here at the next build.
  • A city's boundary, population or county: the Census Bureau's 2025 files are the source.
  • Anything else, such as a figure that misreads its source, a place matched to the wrong county or a mistake in our wording: use the form below.
